I am Jordan A. Madison, and I work as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY but am currently living in Silver Spring, Maryland. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College, and my M.S. in Couple & Family Therapy from UMD-College Park. Since receiving my degrees, I’ve been working at Friends in Transition Counseling Services as a couple and family therapist. I also worked with the Together Program, a grant funded program that provides free 6-week workshops to couples around stress management, communication, and financial management, as a Couples Facilitator. I’m passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and going to therapy in the Black community. I aim to promote conversations and educate others on building and maintaining healthy relationships, as well as taking care of yourself.

Sihnuu invites practitioners to connect mind, body, and spirit in this calming and invigorating sequence. Our session moves through an all-level yoga flow exploring movement that restores the essential balance between effort and ease for internal harmony. Class begins with a short flow to warm the body, strengthening postures to ensure a solid foundation, and is followed by passive expressions and sound healing to promote relaxation. Practitioners can expect to take their time to set up and experience each posture fully to improve mobility and flexibility throughout the body. In our morning practice, we transform stress into bliss, leaving the mat with a sense of calm, openness, and motivation.
Optional tools for practice:
